Transcript
The Application Profile is a document designed to assist in the information gathering phase of a project's life cycle. The document is the output of the Application Profile wizard – an automated tool that guides you through a series of input steps to collect project requirements and produce a professional looking, work-based proposal for your project. The profile also provides the basis for automated input into the Enterprise Application Accelerator wizard. The Application Profile requires you to install a RuleSet (Pega-AppDefinition) that enables the wizard to walk through a series of screens to gather key information about the application. To begin creating an Application Profile, go to the File menu and select:
- File > New > Application Profile to create a new application profile, or
- File > Open > Wizards in Progress > My Application Profiles to open an existing profile
When the wizard is launched, the profile is created as an instance of the PegaAccel-Task-ProposeApp class and assigned a unique processing identifier. An Application Profile can be built on the system that will be used for development of the application or can be packaged up and exported to another system. Interactive Help is available to explain the purpose of each data entry field. The Overview screen solicits general information about the company and the project. All relevant fields for the Time Off application example have been entered, including two business objectives:
- Improve Leave Request processing times by 50%
- Increase overall employee satisfaction by 20%
