Updated on October 7, 2014

This presentation is part of the Application Profile and Enterprise Application Accelerator Self-Study Course.

Transcript

The Actors screen gathers the names of the actors - those individuals or systems involved with the work or who will interact with the application.  In the Time Off application example, there are three actors.

In addition to the actor names, this screen also asks for additional actor details

  • Type – which includes Operator, External Person, Company, Non-Profit Org, Government Agency, External System, and This System
  • Count – the predicted number of times the actor will interact with  the system
  • Frequency – the count interval Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly
  • Access Method – which indicates if the actor will interact with the system directly using a web browser or over the phone
