Application Profile wizard - Completing the Interfaces form

Updated on October 7, 2014

This presentation is part of the Application Profile and Enterprise Application Accelerator Self-Study Course.

Transcript

The Interfaces screen captures the other systems in which the application will connect to or be connected from as a service.   An example of an interface in our Time Off application is the connector to the Human Resources Database to maintain an employee’s vacation balance.

Other fields describing the interface include:

  • Protocol, which are the supported protocols to and from PRPC.  In our example, we will have selected the Database protocol.
  • The number of expected Interchanges between PRPC and the outside system is next.  In our example, the employee record must first be retrieved, then updated, which are two interchanges.
  • And then finally a Description of the interface is provided
