Evaluating cardholder liability using the ValidateC86Regulation activity

The ValidateC86regulation activity is used to evaluate the maximum amount for which a cardholder may be held liable for in a single dispute.

The ValidateC86regulation activity is invoked at all stages in which operators have the option of marking a cardholder as liable in both Visa and Mastercard flows, and is also referenced in all activities after the process liability and cardholder liable actions. If the Cardholder Liable amount exceeds the maximum amount for each evaluation, the system displays an error, as in the following figure:
