Reusing answers in survey questions

Updated on November 22, 2021

To create more personalized and comprehensive surveys, reuse answers to questions in the subsequent questions. For example, if a question prompts users to enter their name, you can start the following questions with the answer.

Note: You can only reuse answers to questions that already exist in your survey or in a base class where you create your survey.
  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click ConfigureCase ManagementSurvey.
  2. Click the name of a survey.
  3. Click Add survey itemNew question.
  4. From the drop-down list, select the type of question that you want to create.
  5. In the text box, enter a question, and then place the cursor where you want to reuse the answer.
  6. Click the Insert Property icon.
  7. Select a question whose answer you want to reuse.
The question that you select must appear in the survey before the question that you are creating.
  8. Optional: To reuse a property from outside your current survey, select the Relevant properties check box.
Note: To use this option, you must enable a pyEnableSurveyAdvancedSettings when rule.
