Extending the Customer Profile Designer component

Updated on May 6, 2021

After installing and configuring the Customer Profile Designer component, you can add, edit, or remove aggregates directly on the summary rule on the Profile Data Sources landing page. You can also change the data source of your summary in the same place.

Pega Customer Decision Hub

To extend your data source or service rule, add or copy the rules into your Pega Customer Decision Hub implementation application Applications ruleset, or Integration ruleset, if it exists. You can add additional properties to make them available for aggregation logic, or block existing ones.

Note: You must block the rules rather than withdraw them because they span across multiple rulesets.

After adding additional properties to your source data class and integration class, you will most likely need to define your own data flow to transform that data. Create additional data flows in the same source data class and update your summary rules to use the new data flows as the Data source.

Alternatively, you can define your own data source class and integration class and the necessary rules. For more information, see Adding associated customer entities.
