Enabling reports for the email bot

Updated on June 21, 2021

You can toggle the reports dashboard in the Email Manager portal and specify for the system to gather email triage case data for the built-in Pega Email Bot™ reports. After you enable reports in your email bot, the data in the reports can help you learn more about the email bot and improve the system, for example, by later adjusting the machine learning models to attain greater automation of the system.

The reports dashboard and the storing of triage cases are enabled in the system by default. If you set the pyShowEmailAnalytics when rule to false, the reports dashboard is not displayed and the system does not store triage actions in the Index-TrackTraigeActions table.

To re-enable the reports dashboard and storage of triage cases, perform the following steps:

  1. Switch to Dev Studio.
  2. In Dev Studio, open the pyShowEmailAnalytics when rule.
  3. In the when rule, click the Advanced tab.
  4. Open the pyEnableEmailAnalytics rule, click the Advanced tab, and then set the value to true.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Switch back to App Studio.
