Pega Academy Master IDs

In Pega Academy, master IDs are assembled using various areas to create the Master ID.

Master IDs are comprised of the following components:


  • Content Prefixes include:
    • Mission – MIS
    • Module – MOD
    • Challenge – CH
    • Topic – TOP
    • Certification Exam – CERT
  • ContentID – Automatically generated from Drupal
  • ReleaseID – Sequential ID automatically assigned by Drupal when a new release is created
  • LanguageID – Standardized language abbreviations as outlined in ECM
Important: End users do not see the Master ID in its entirety. End users see only the release ID and and language in context. Revisions also make no impact to the Master ID.

Put together, the Master ID is assembled in the following format:

Note: The 2 at the start of the ID denotes the content type release and is not part of the Master ID structure.

    • Content ID: 162 (automatically generated by Drupal)
    • Release ID: 0001 (indicates new content)
    • Language ID: French
  • TOP457-0002-EN
    • Content Prefix: Topic
    • Content ID: 457 (automatically generated by Drupal)
    • Release ID: 0002 (indicates a 2nd topic release)
    • Language ID: English
  • MOD117-0003-JP
    • Content Prefix: Module
    • Content ID: 117 (automatically generated by Drupal)
    • Release ID: 0003 (indicates a 3rd topic release)
    • Language ID: Japanese
