Pega Open Robotics integration

Updated on April 6, 2022

With Pega Open Robotics, you can integrate your existing robotic process automation implementation with your Pega Platform application. By reusing your existing robotic process automations, you save time, reduce implementation costs, and improve the overall user experience by providing end to end processes. Pega Open Robotics supports integration with UiPath and Blue Prism.

Use the following topics to learn about the metadata that is provided in your Pega Open Robotics application. Then, learn how to integrate with UiPath and Blue Prism and how to configure UiPath and Blue Prism automations in your case type.
  • Importing the Pega Open Robotics application

To import the rules and metadata required to integrate your application with UiPath or Blue Prism, import the Pega Open Robotics application and then add it to your built-on applications in your application rule.

  • Pega Open Robotics integration metadata

When you import the Pega Open Robotics application, Pega Platform creates the rules for exchanging data with UiPath Orchestrator or Blue Prism Control Room. To understand how to use the rules and processes in a case flow in Pega Platform, review the following information.

  • UiPath integration

Complete the following tasks to integrate UiPath Orchestrator with your application.

  • Blue Prism integration

You can integrate Pega Platform with an existing Blue Prism robotic automation system. This compatibility supports maximum efficiency and reduces implementation costs because you do not need to redo your current robotic automation solution while transitioning to the Pega-based application.

  • Configuring a case type with Pega Open Robotics

To save time and decrease implementation costs, you can run your UiPath or Blue Prism automation in your case type to fetch data during case processing.
