Monitoring the DocuSign connection status

Keep track of your access to DocuSign services through the DocuSign connections landing page, which lists the JWT bearer token authentication profiles and their connection status.

Before you begin: Connect your application to DocuSign by generating an access token with JWT Grant authentication. For more information, see Configuring the DocuSign authentication.

    Saving an instance of the pyMainMenu navigation rule in your application

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, find and open the pyMainMenu navigation rule.
  2. On the pyMainMenu rule form, click Save as.
  3. On the New tab, in the Context section, provide the details of the application ruleset version to which you want to save the new rule instance.
  4. Confirm your settings by clicking Create and open.

  5. On the Editor tab of the pyMainMenu rule, add a row by using one of the available options.
  6. On the General tab, in the Type drop-down list, select Reference.
  7. In the Navigation Rule field, enter pxDocuSignMainMenu.
  8. Click OK.

  9. Save the rule form to confirm your settings.

  10. In the header of Dev Studio, click ConfigureDocuSign JWT Grant connections.
    Result: The DocuSign connections landing page displays the name of the authentication profile, the description, and the status of the connection. If the connection between your authentication profile and DocuSign was established correctly, the Action column displays the Connected status, as shown in the following figure:

  11. If the Action column displays the Authorize button for a JWT authentication profile, establish the connection by performing the following actions:
    1. Click Authorize.
    2. If prompted, provide the DocuSign login credentials.
    3. Click Accept.
      Result: The connection status changes to Connected.
    Note: The connection status of a JWT authentication profile that you created in your application can change if, for example, a user revokes the token in the DocuSign portal.
