Kafka as a streaming service

Updated on May 2, 2022

Kafka is a high-throughput and low-latency platform for handling real-time data feeds that you can use as input for event strategies in Pega Platform™. Kafka data sets are characterized by high performance and horizontal scalability in terms of event and message queues. Note: Pega Platform supports Apache Kafka versions 1.0.0 through 2.8.0. For information about creating Kafka data set instances, see Creating a Kafka data set.
