Discrepancies in PMML model output on different systems

Updated on May 17, 2024

The same PMML model can produce different outputs when it is run on different systems.

Cause: Missing or invalid input values for the model

This problem might occur when input values for the model are missing or invalid.

Solution

  1. For the solution, see Errors when running the PMML model.

Cause: Differences in PMML algorithms programming

This problem might also occur when the PMML algorithms are programmed differently in the Pega Platform PMML engine and other third-party systems. In some cases, third-party tools have deviated from the PMML standard, which might be the cause of discrepancies. Pega Platform adheres to the PMML standard to execute the PMML definition.

Solution

  1. To ensure that there is no problem with the PMML engine on your Pega Platform instance, ask a PMML developer and system architect to investigate the discrepancies that occurred.
