About Decision Data Store nodes

Updated on July 5, 2022

A Decision Data Store (DDS) node is a Pega Platform system with an embedded Cassandra database process. DDS nodes are clustered and capable of storing large volumes of data at high speed.

A cluster of DDS nodes leverages the Cassandra functionality to protect data from failure and provide horizontal scalability. This solution enables you to gather data from other decision management services and make that data available for real-time processing and optimized for batch processing.

Data is distributed randomly across decision data nodes in the cluster. For this reason, you can expect approximately the same increase in disk space usage at the same rate.

Decision management node types are clustered and capable of storing large volumes of data at high speed.

Data is distributed evenly across DDS nodes in the cluster. For this reason, you can expect approximately the same increase in disk space usage at the same rate.
