Enabling languages for NLP

Updated on July 5, 2022

Pega Platform provides natural language processing (NLP) features for various languages. Define the languages that you want to analyze in text models that you create in Pega Platform or detect in external text models that you connect to Pega Platform.

Note: Prediction Studio language settings are system-wide, which means that they apply to all applications in your system. Only enable those languages that you want to analyze. Keeping the potential languages to a minimum increases the accuracy of detection because the system has to classify incoming text against a smaller set of languages.
  1. In the navigation pane of Prediction Studio, click SettingsPrediction Studio settings.
  2. In the Languages section, click Edit languages.
  3. In the Language selector window, select the languages that you want to enable in your text models.

The Language selector window contains the complete list of supported languages. Pega Platform can detect all these languages in external text models connected to your application. A check mark in the Pega NLP supported column indicates that Pega Platform can also analyze that language. For information about the NLP features available for specific languages, see Language support for NLP.
