Viewing Prediction Studio notifications

Updated on July 5, 2022

Gain an insight into the performance of your predictions, adaptive models, and predictive models by accessing notifications in Prediction Studio. By viewing detailed monitoring data for your models, you can update their configuration to improve the predictions that you use to adjust your client-facing strategies.

The system checks for new notifications in batches according to the snapshot agent schedule, for example, nightly, or when you refresh the data for a prediction or a model.

The notification icon that indicates new insights is displayed in the header of Prediction Studio.

You can receive daily email summaries of the high-impact notifications. Certain notification types have customizable thresholds that you can modify to change the frequency with which Prediction Studio sends you notifications.

Before you begin: Configure the reporting snapshot agent schedule in your Pega Cloud system or on-premises system.
  1. Open Prediction Studio.
Result: In the header of Prediction Studio, the Notifications icon indicates the number of new messages.
  2. Click the Notifications icon.
Result: The list displays the most recent batch of notifications. Blue circles mark the notifications that you have not yet viewed. A notification can apply to a model, a prediction, or multiple predictions.
Recent notifications in Prediction StudioThe list of recent notifications contains several unread messages for an adaptive model.
  3. In the Notifications detail overlay, perform one of the following actions:
    ChoicesActions
Access a recent notification from the list
    1. Click the notification that you want to view.
    2. If the notification links to multiple predictions, in the Open prediction dialog box, select the prediction that you want to open, and then click Open.
    Access all notifications
    1. Click Show more.
Result: The Notifications landing page displays the full list of notifications with detailed information for each message, including the priority level in the Impact column. You can filter the notifications by selecting a category in the Categories list in upper-left corner of the page.
    2. Click the notification that you want to view.
    3. If the notification links to multiple predictions, in the detail overlay, click the prediction that you want to open.
Result: Notifications link to different areas of Prediction Studio depending on the type of message. For example, a notification about a change in the performance of a prediction links to the Analysis tab of the prediction. To learn the reason for a particular notification and what you can do to address the associated issue or task, see Prediction Studio notification types.
What to do next:

Investigate issues related to performance, output, and predictor metrics by reviewing the monitoring data for predictions and models.

Resolve tasks related to Machine Learning Operations (MLOps), such as model approval.
