Getting started with OpenCTI

Updated on October 6, 2021

Pega Call provides seamless integration with third-party computer-telephony integration (CTI) systems. With the OpenCTI desktop architecture, you can integrate Pega Call with any telephony systems based on your needs by using the browser-based JavaScript API. With OpenCTI, you can make calls from any telephony device directly to Pega Call without installing CTI adapters on your machines.

Open CTI desktop supports two types of integration: one using the Pega Call UI and another that embeds third-party party UI. For more information about integrating Open CTI with third-party UI, see Embedded UI custom implementation.

Note: If you want to integrate with a CTI server by using server-side integration based on the integration connectors, see the OpenCTI Developer's Guide for Server-side Integration on Pega Community.
