Exporting a branch to the source development system

Updated on September 10, 2021

In a distributed development environment, developers migrate branches to a development source system on which they then merge the branches. You can manually migrate a branch to the source development system by packaging the branch on your remote development system and then exporting it to the development source system.

To migrate a branch to the development source system, do the following tasks:

  1. On the remote development system, package the branch. For more information, see Packaging a branch.
  2. On the development source system, import the application package by using the Import wizard. For more information, see Importing rules and data from a product rule by using the Import wizard.
