Eighteen local flow actions that are often made available to users

Updated on May 3, 2020

Summary

When you create an assignment task in a flow rule, what are the typical local flow actions to include?

Suggested Approach

Assignments often include the following local actions:

  • Save
  • Transfer

If covers are being used in this application, the following should be included as well:

  • AddToCover
  • RemoveFromCover

If folders are being used in this application, the following should be included as well:

  • AddToFolder
  • RemoveFromFolder

Additionally, the following local actions are recommended:

  • NotifyQuick
  • AttachAFile
  • AttachANote
  • AttachAScreenshot
  • AttachAUrl

A "power" user might also benefit from these:

  • AddFlow
  • ChangeAssignmentSLA (if the assignment in question has a service level specified)
  • ChangeWorkSLA
  • Notify
  • TransferAdvanced (instead of Transfer)
  • TransferToWorkBasket
  • SetTicket
  • UrgencyUpdate

Other flow actions are either more application dependent, such as the EngageExternal actions, or are used as connector flow actions.
