 | For PRPC version 6.3 or 7.1 applications, Federated Case Management (FCM) facilities enable users to create, display, update and resolve cases in applications hosted on other systems. The new FCM repository (FCMR) expands current FCM capabilties to enable applications to publish case data to a central database. The FCMR receives and distributes work according to your business needs. Users acquire case data and work assignments seamlessly in their application, regardless of which federated application provides the data. |
Create, review, and work on a case in any PRPC application from within a different application portal.
Users in any PRPC 6.3 or 7.1 application configured for FCM can create and work on remote cases regardless of their source. The new Federated Case Management Repository (FCMR) serves as a central source for cases and work from all systems in the federation. Users across the federation work on their "local" application. Items from the FCMR are displayed seamlessly in each user's local portal. Each system can display a federated worklist view or a federated case list view, each of which presents data consolidated from all systems. |

| Within a federation, each application publishes to the FCMR core data on work and assignments. The FCMR in turn enables the display of work and assignment information that is aggregated, or consolidated, across the systems in the federation. The new federated worklist view enables users to select assignments from any application. FCM's Get Next Work functionality can draw work from any application in the federation. FCM can also provide managers with a new 360-degree federated case list view of all cases in the federation. |

Use FCM's straightforward setup and configuration to add your application to a federation. There is no need to redesign your application. You define the Federated Case Management Repository (FCMR), which can reside anywhere accessible by all applications, then configure how data is published to it. On each application in the federation, you perform a set of consistent steps to set up and configure your remote systems and create remote case types to be published to the FCMR. |  |
