Integrating Agile Workbench with Jira in Pega Platform 8.1.x to 8.2.x
Capture real-time feedback about an application development project directly in the application with the Agile Workbench tool. By using the Atlassian Jira component that is available from Marketplace, you can continue to use a real-time Agile methodology and integrate Agile Workbench with Jira to take advantage of its project management features, such as project and issue tracking, Scrum and Kanban support, backlog prioritization, and sprint planning.
- Download the Jira component from the Marketplace.
- In the header of Dev Studio, click the name of the application, and then click Definition.
- On the Definition tab, in the Enabled components section, click Manage components.
- Click Install new, select the file that you downloaded from the Marketplace, and then click Open.
- Enable this component for your application by selecting the Enabled check box, and then click OK.
- In the list of enabled components, verify the Jira component and its version, and then save the rule form by clicking Save.
- Update the PM_Jira_AuthProfile Authentication Profile instance with credentials
that you plan to use to access your Jira system through REST
authentication:
- Provide the user ID as user name and the API token for password. If your
Jira server does not support API token, use your Jira password.

- To use a method of authentication other than Basic, delete and re-add the PM_Jira_AuthProfile instance by using the same name for the new version.

- In the authentication profile, select the Preemptive authentication check box.
- In the navigation pane of Dev Studio, click your operator icon, and then click Preferences.
- In the Project management section, in the User ID field, enter your Jira
details:
- To integrate with Jira version that is GDPR-complaint, enter your Jira account ID.
- To integrate with Jira version that is GDPR non-complaint, enter your Jira user ID.
- Click Save.
- If your Jira version is GDPR non-compliant, perform additional configurations
to integrate:
- Expand the SysAdmin category, and then click RuleSet.
- Click the JiraIntegration ruleset, and then open the IsAccountIDSupportedByJIRA rule.
- Click .For more information about saving rules, see Copying a rule or data instance.
- On the Advanced tab of the new rule, set the When rule name to Never, and then click Save.
- Perform check-in.For more information about checking in rules, see Checking in a rule.
- In the header of Dev Studio, click the name of the application, and then click Definition.
- On the Integration & security tab of the Application rule form, in the Agile Workbench integration section, click Configure integration.
- Select Jira.
- Provide the API URL for Jira, and then click Connect.
- Associate your Agile Workbench work items with a project and release by selecting an existing Jira project and release, or by creating a project and release.
- Click Begin integration.
- Click Done.
