The client utilizes the color green extensively in its logos and brand names.  The client requires users to use the standard portal layout, but replace all of the standard blue colors with different shades of green.

One of the items you want to change is the blue bar across the top of the page.  Locate a matching class in the Style Viewer.  In this case the class .portalBarTitleBackground looks like a class you want to change.  Make the change from blue to green and view the results using the Style Picker.

It is best practice to comment out the old background color as well as adding a string of "PORT" to your changes to assist you in tracking all of the places you have made a change.
