How to migrate rule delegation instances

Updated on September 13, 2021

Summary

A developer asks:

Our application includes decision tree and decision table rules that are delegated to managers to maintain. How do I migrate the rule delegation records?  They are stored as instances of the System-User-MyRules class.

The Product rule form does not appear to allow me to include these records in a product definition.

Suggested Approach

The Product rule form does not allow specification of System-User-MyRules instances in the Data Classes area of the Contents tab.

However, you can specify the System-User-MyRules class in the Rule Classes area of that tab.

Reference a When rule to control which instances of System-User-MyRules are included in the ZIP archive.
