Real-time statistics for feature development

Updated on June 10, 2020

Real-time statistics for feature development are metrics that are sourced from the work items, features, and rules that you create. By using the Application Overview landing page to review these statistics, you can track feature development in your application without interrupting your development team for status updates.

For example, you can compare feature progress, or percent complete, with bug count to infer whether your development team is on schedule. When you review the distribution of work items in your application by type and status, you can quickly identify areas in your project that require load balancing or prioritization.

The following figures illustrates how your application aggregates and presents real-time statistics for the features and work items that your team creates.

Encourage your team to update work items, features, and rules as they develop, because this information improves the accuracy of your statistics and the traceability of features from story to implementation.
