End-to-end automation
Improvements to Robotic Automation, Case Management, and Pega SurveyNew data bots are accessible as connectors via our Live Data Pages, which allows organizations to connect to legacy systems in the same way as any other connector and can be added to any Pega case or flow. Enhancements have also been made to Robot Manager, where an improved database structure supports enhanced performance for larger deployments and the bulk creation of departments of RDA users through CSV import. Improvements to Case Management provide more ways to collaborate, including messaging through markdown formatting of text; customizable activity feeds that pull notifications from 3rd-party sources; by viewing image, video, and PDF attachment previews in line; and using “@” to reference case names in communications. New authoring in Pega Survey provides a contextual screen flow that empowers citizen developers to quickly create question pages, questions, and branches.

Deployment
Improvements in testing, DevOps, and Pega CloudPegaUnit replaces Automated Unit Testing (AUT) and provides enhanced automated testing capabilities, including quarantines for failing tests and expected max runtimes for managing performance. Selenium-based UI Test Frameworks and an OOTB Smoke Test Suite for any Platform or Sales Automation app are now available immediately on Pega Exchange, and an upgraded Application Quality Dashboard offers faster assessments of overall application health.
Deployment Manager is now available in Express and by default for Pega Cloud customers, giving business users the power to make changes to their app and immediately publish changes to their app using a CI/CD pipeline with one-click. Full continuous integration in the Merge Wizard and new Application Configuration Values have led to smoother integration for DevOps pipelines. A near-zero downtime experience for Pega Cloud customers and automatic upgrade scheduling for all customers have contributed to major improvements to the upgrade process. In addition, file storage-as-a-service automatically allocates storage to meet the data demands of Pega Marketing and other Pega apps.
