Introducing PRPC 6.2 SP2 - Controls
Deliver intuitive forms by leveraging the latest Control enhancements. New features include Placeholder text, a faster and sleeker AutoComplete, and support for keyboard events.
Placeholder Text in Auto-Generated Controls
You can guide users through forms using Placeholder text in auto-generated Controls. The source of this text can be a constant, field value, or property reference. The Placeholder text disappears when the field receives focus. The color of Placeholder text is determined by a setting in the skin.
To interact with a sample using Placeholder text, access the UI Gallery, select, > User Interface > UI Gallery, and select Text Inputin the Controls group.
AutoComplete Input Fields with Improved Performance and Results Display
This version provides increased control over how AutoComplete results are presented: determining the column widths and text alignment in the Results panel, specifying the order in which Additional Fields appear (in the second column), and enabling you to change the Delimiter that appears between the Additional Fields.
To interact with a sample, access the UI Gallery ,select, > User Interface > UI Gallery, and select AutoComplete in the Controls group.
Controls that are Always Editable (Search)
You can select edit options for Controls, which take precedence over section and harness settings. This means that you can set a Control, such as Search input field, to be always editable, even if it displays in a read-only (Review) harness.
Keyboard Events
Keyboard events are available in the latest generation of typeable Controls (e.g. Text Input, Date Time). See Dynamic UI for information.
