Symptom

To create a Product Patch, you specify the RuleSet version you want to export in the Product Patch form. However, in Versions 5.5 and 5.5 SP1 the system incorrectly exports all RuleSet versions up to the one specified.

For example, in the following case the RuleSet Version specified is 01-01-09, but all rules in version 01-01-01 through 01-01-09 will be exported.

Solution

To create a product patch in V5.5 or 5.5 SP1, create a Product rule and specify the patch version you want to export as both the minimum and maximum RuleSet version. For example, in the following case the Minimum RuleSet Version and Maximum RuleSet Version fields are both set to 01-01-09.

If you do not want non-versioned rules to be exported (such as Products, RuleSet-Versions, and Application rules), check the Exclude Non Rule Resolved Rules checkbox.
