Using Deployment Manager

Updated on April 5, 2022

After you set up and configure Deployment Manager, you can begin using it to create pipelines. You can also do a number of other tasks, such as creating Deployment Manager roles and users and configuring the notifications that you want to receive. For detailed information, see Configuring and running pipelines with Deployment Manager 4.8.x.

In general, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to the Deployment Manager portal on the orchestration server with the DMReleaseAdmin operator ID.

  2. Create a pipeline by modeling stages and steps and specifying environments, applications, product rules, and repositories.

  3. Run diagnostics by clicking Actions Diagnose pipeline to verify that your pipeline is correctly configured.

  4. Run deployments directly from Deployment Manager or from development environments as you merge your branches.
