Customizing extension points in the Dispatcher portal

You can review and customize the extension points in the Dispatcher portal to ensure that UI screens and elements are rendered appropriately to meet business needs.

  1. In the navigation pane of Dev Studio, click Launch web interfaceDispatcher portal.

  2. Review the existing UI screens and elements. The following table shows the UI elements that can be extended.

    Left panel filtersAdd or hide new filters (limited to the work order status values in the application).
    Filters modal windowAdd additional filter criterion.
    Work order detailsAdd and hide new attributes on the work order layout.
    Actions menu on the work orderAdd and hide new options.
    Field worker profileAdd and hide new attributes.
    Create milestones windowAdd new attributes to the milestone.

    Map pin modal windowAdd new attributes in the map pin modal dialog.
  3. Open the UI screen you want to modify.

  4. To identify the related rules, click the Live UI icon.

  5. Select the element that you want to change.

    When an element is selected, Live UI provides information about that element, such as the sections and harnesses that the element is a part of.
  6. Click the Open rule in Dev Studio icon to open that rule in Dev Studio and update it as needed.

  7. To customize your changes, click Private Edit.

  8. Click Save.
