Pre-configured X12 5010 EDI message services

Updated on September 18, 2020

The Foundation provides functionality to manage the intake of X12 5010 EDI Messages received from an EDI gateway or another external source. The following X12 EDI Message standards are supported:

The capabilities include intake of the message file and parsing it according to the EDI implementation guide standards published for the message. The incoming file is parsed according to the EDI standard and the message is made available on the clipboard for further business processing.

Note: The parsing of each message file type shown above is complete according to the EDI Standard defined for the message and no further extension is needed. It is assumed that the message is compliant with the X12 5010 EDI Standard and has been validated against all WEDI SNIP validation edits for syntax validation, balancing validation, inter-segment validations etc. This is typically done by EDI Gateway systems.

Identify all integration points for your application.

  1. Identify which data is needed from each system of record, if you have not already done so.
  2. Determine whether an interface to that system of record already exists and how to connect to it.
