The attachment component feature saves file and URL attachments as data items instead of parts of work items.

This feature allows the application to reuse attachments among multiple cases. For example, once you submit a birth certificate as part of one case, another case can reuse the same certificate and you do not have to attach it again. You can extend this feature to include it in new processes and support additional attachment types.
