Changing identifier IDs

Updated on January 18, 2021

You can reflect changes to an existing identifier by modifying its identifier ID. For example, change the ID when you add an identifier that is similar to an existing one and you want to clearly distinguish between these two identifiers.

  1. In the Dev Studio Explorer panel, click App. In the search field, enter the name of the class that contains the identifier that you want to change, for example, PegaPS-Data-Entity-Business or PegaPS-Data-Entity-Person.

  2. Click Data ModelData TransformpySetFieldDefaults.

  3. Find the step for the identifier that you want to modify, and then change the value of the .IDType target.

  4. In the when rule for the identifier that you modify, update the ID Type condition, for example, IsPassport.

For more information about modifying when rules, see When form - Completing the Conditions tab.
