Extending an application built on Pega Government Platform

Updated on January 18, 2021

This section describes the high-level steps for creating an implementation layer on top of an application (such as Investigative Case Management) that is built on Pega Government Platform, then modifying or creating the required rules and structures to support that layer.

Note: Do not use PegaPS as an organization to the new implementation layer; it is a restricted organization from Pega Government Platform.
After the implementation layer has been created, perform the configurations that are described in the following steps. Ensure that you are logged in as a developer.
  1. In the header of your workspace, click the Switch Studio menu, and then click App Studio.

  2. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click PGPApplication setup to configure the newly built application on top of Pega Government Platform.

    ComplaintsD_ComplaintAppContext
    Investigative Case ManagementPegaPS-Work-ICM
  3. Configure custom work pool email accounts to enable the system to send additional notifications to work parties. To create an email account for the implementation layer work pool, in the header of Dev Studio, click ConfigureIntegrationEmailEmail Accounts.

For example, use Save as on the PegaPS-Work-ICM email account to create a new email account with the name Org-ICMImpl-Work-ICM.
