Troubleshooting: Internet Explorer 6 session times out

Summary

Microsoft's Internet Explorer 6 browser occasionally times out.  The primary symptom is a half-painted screen. Microsoft has identified known issues..


 

Suggested Approach

Microsoft has acknowledged known issues that cause Internet Explorer browser to time out occasionally. Two symptoms may appear when using Process Commander:

  • When a user opens a new window, only a portion of the screen is generated ("half-painted").
  • Browser and Tracer connections may experience browser timeouts.
