How do I install the Pega Robotic Automation Firefox extension?
Use the Firefox extension to Pega Robotic Automation to interrogate and automate the Mozilla Firefox browser. Typically, you use the Setup wizard for Robot Studio or Robot Runtime to install or update the Firefox extension. If you are updating several users, you could also use the command line installation command with the INST_Firefox=1 parameter. For more information, see the installation instructions for your version of Robot Studio or Robot Runtime.
If you did not install the extension when you installed Robot Studio or Robot Runtime and need to install it now, use the following program to install the extension:
OpenSpan.WebExtensionInstaller.exe

Installing the Firefox extension
Perform the following steps to install the Firefox extension in Robotic Automation 8.0.SP1 2006 or later:
- From the Search. menu, select
- Enter CMD, and then right-click Command Prompt.
- Choose Run as Administrator.
- In the Administrator Command window, go to the Pega Robot Studio, Pega Robot Studio Plug-In, or Pega Robot Runtime install directory..
- Enter the following command: OpenSpan.WebExtensionInstaller.exe Firefox -i
Validating that the extension is enabled
To enable the extension, open a Firefox browser instance. A message displays in Firefox’s top, right corner to which you must respond. To ensure that Robot Studio displays in the list of extensions, you can also open Firefox, click the Open menu icon, and select .
Updating the Firefox extension
Repeat the installation steps each time you receive a new version of the Pega Robotic Automation Firefox extension. Updates to this extension are announced in the Release or Build notes.
