Automatically generate data sources by using OpenAPI Specification (8.6)

Automatically generate data sources by using OpenAPI Specification. In the Integration Designer in App Studio, you can easily select the endpoints that you want to use to create or update your data sources. This enhancement provides you with a powerful and simple way to create integrations, without needing a live endpoint or manually entering a sample JSON in the request and response. By taking advantage of the support for OpenAPI Specification, you save time and increase productivity.

You can connect to an OpenAPI Specification when:

  • You update the data source of a data page. This use case supports the GET method, and the POST method is supported with certain content types.
  • You update the save plan of a data page. This use case supports the POST, PUT, and PATCH methods.

You can choose a method from the specification, and then map the properties based on the request or response schema corresponding to that operation, as shown in the following figures:
