There exists within a single file the possibility of multiple (ISA, IEA), (GS, GE) and (ST, SE) segments being reported. Multiple ISA, IEA indicate multiple transactions from multiple payers.

Currently as part of the de-batch process, Pega Smart Claims Engine for Healthcare can handle multiple ISA, IEA’s in a single file. At the same time a single file can hold multiple ST and SE’s.

Currently SCE does not handle the option of having multiple GS and GE segments within a single file.
