Adding branches to your application

Updated on April 5, 2022

You can create branches in your development application, add a branch that exists in a system, or add a branch from a repository that is configured on a remote development system.

After you add branches, you can modify the order in which the system runs them, set the top-level branch as editable at run time, and add rules to branches. After you add rules to branches, the system automatically creates branch rulesets.

  • Creating branches

Create branches in your application so that you can develop rules in them. The system automatically creates branch rulesets when you save a rule in to the branch.

  • Adding system branches

You can add branches that already exist on your system to your application. You cannot add a branch that contains branched versions of a ruleset that is not in your application stack.
