Theme Cosmos 4.0
The Theme Cosmos design system is a complete library of UI components for building section-based Pega Platform applications. In the 8.7 version of the Pega Platform, new section-based applications use Theme Cosmos by default. For more information, Pega Cosmos.
Support for archived cases
Applications that use version 4.0 of Theme Cosmos now support archived cases. Users can now search, retrieve, and print archived cases, also when using mobile apps. This enhancement improves application usability by adding a crucial, customer-requested feature to the Pega Platform stack.
New application header
Applications that rely on the Cosmos design system and use either the Cosmos React or Theme Cosmos can now use a new type of header. The new header is a bar that spans the top of the page and includes the following information: a logo, the application name, the operator menu, as well as a global search box. In section-based applications, the search engine displays a consolidated lists of results in a confenient table. By giving users a quick way to distinguish between portals, this enhancement is particularly useful to businesses that run many Pega applications.
For more information, see Defining a portal header.
Related cases widget
The work area in Theme Cosmos now includes the Related cases widget, which you can use to add and remove case instances that are relevant to your work. For example, in a collective insurance case, you can add the insurance cases of individuals to enhance the process of analysis.
Support for multiple file attachments widget
Theme Cosmos now supports the classic multiple file attachments from Theme UI-Kit version 11.0 and earlier. The widget, which attaches the files directly to the case, provides users with tools to upload multiple files simultaneously and define attachment categories for each uploaded file.
You can enable this feature by replacing the pyCaseRelatedContent section that holds the Files and documents widget with the pyCaseAttachmentWrapper rule.
