PEGA0009 alert: PegaRULES engine failed to start

Updated on January 21, 2022

The PEGA0009 alert is triggered when the PegaRULES engine attempted to start, but failed.

Reasons for the alert

For various reasons, the engine might fail to initialize during startup, including:

  • The system could not connect to the database.
  • The libraries did not compile.
  • Required resources are missing.

Check the Pega log file to get details about the cause of the problem. The application server logs might also provide details about system startup failure.
