Offline mobility enhancements in Pega 7.1.9

Updated on September 3, 2019

With the Pega 7.1.9 release, you can create richer offline-enabled mobile apps.

Adding a view PDF file local action

Adding a local action to view a PDF file

The Pega 7.1.9 enhancements enable you to do the following actions:

  • Upload PDF files to the Pega 7 Platform as binary files so that they can be viewed offline when added to the cache manifest. For more information, see How to make a PDF file available for offline viewing.
  • Use parameterized data pages to configure cascading drop-down lists on any screen that is used in an offline app.

  • Use a declarative property to get current date and time on a mobile client while in offline mode.

  • Create a JavaScript equivalent of pre-processing and post-processing for flow actions that run when in an offline-enabled mobile app.

Additionally, the Address Map control displays a live map with location pins for a list of addresses when online and now also defaults to a predefined static map image when offline.
