Extending the schedule assessment or schedule call tasks by using a custom flow

Updated on May 12, 2021

You can extend the schedule assessment or schedule call tasks that are included with the Pega Care Management application to better meet your organization's needs. You create a custom flow to identify the additional items that you want to capture in the new tasks that you create.

For example, you can schedule non-emergency medical transportation for a member by coordinating with a transportation company. The task displays member details and HIPAA verification to the care managers. However, you can also create a custom flow to capture the date and time that the company picks up the member from their home and any necessary precautions for the transport.
  1. In the navigation pane of Dev Studio, click App.
  2. In the search box, enter and search for PegaHC-Care-Work-Task.
  3. Click ProcessFlow, right-click, and then click Create.
  4. On the Create Flow page, name your custom flow, and then click Create and open.
  5. Complete your flow and save it.
    For more information, see Flows.
  6. On the History tab, in the Custom fields section, click the Add field icon.
  7. In the Add custom fields dialog box, follow these steps:
    1. In the Name list, select and click Flow Category.
    2. In the Type list, click Text.
    3. In the Value field, enter Text.
    4. Click Submit.
  8. Click Save.
