Pega Client Lifecycle Management and KYC relies on the business service architecture implemented by Pega Foundation for Financial Services to access external data providers. The architecture has three different layers that facilitate access to external systems for data retrieval.
- Integration components
- The layer where the technical interfacing assets and functionality reside. Pure technical connectors to integrate or interface with external data providers are implemented in this layer. The layer is Pega industry and data model agnostic, and it is intended to contain reusable assets across all Pega industries and applications. Integration components are available at Pega Marketplace and must be installed and active in the environment where they are used.
- Industry abstraction layer
- The layer where the actual business services are implemented as abstract, provider agnostic, components. In addition to the abstract services, the mapping between the Pega Foundation for Financial Services data model and the external data provider-specific data model is implemented at this layer.
- Orchestration layer
- In this case, Pega Client Lifecycle Management and KYC, which consumes the business services implemented in the industry abstraction layer at different points of its case types and processes to achieve the efficiency required by your business.
The architecture guarantees that Pega Client Lifecycle Management and KYC uses of the business services without being tightly coupled with the actual external data providers that implement those services. When a data provider changes or a new data provider is required, only the two layers at the top require configuration, while the orchestration and user experience remained unaltered.
