Upgrading from 8.5 version or earlier

Updated on June 11, 2021

The configuration mechanism that enables business services and providers is introduced in the 8.6 version of the product. After the upgrade, the system still supports some legacy settings to provide backward compatibility.

The settings must be replaced with the corresponding ones available at the new configuration mechanism.

Pega Client Lifecycle Management application provides a new case type, Adverse Media, implemented using PegaCLMFS-Work-Screening-AdverseInformation class. This new case type is configured as a child case to the Client lifecycle management case type and is used to manage the results obtained through Adverse media services. If you choose to use this new case type in your implementation, you must perform the following steps:

  1. Create an Adverse Information class at implementation layer and register the new case class in DCR. For more information about registering a new case class, see Override the application extension data transform.
  2. Modify the Client lifecycle management case type at your implementation to have this newly added class as subtype and add the PropagateDataToScreening data propagation rule.
  3. Activate the adverse media business service by following the steps defined in "Business Services Activation" World-Check.
Note: As you update and the Client lifecycle management case-type in your implementation layer, the system automatically copies the associated stage rules from the PegaCLMFS-Work-CLM class to the corresponding implementation class. However, the new copies of the stage rules in the implementation layer can mask their specialized versions from the child classes in the product. Hence, you must review the stage rules in the product in the classes that extend from PegaCLMFS-Work-CLM and manually copy all the stage rules to the corresponding implementation layer classes.
