Configuring KYC Item and KYC Item group actions

You can create new KYC Type rules or copy existing rules for customization purposes. KYC Type rules reference one or more KYC Item response properties, store their data values, and define how the KYC Item is presented on the case user interface.

Adding a new KYC Item or KYC Item group

  1. Log in to the KYC Rule Manager Studio.
  2. Select and open a rule from the KYC Types list.
  3. Click the Item definition tab.
    • Option 1 - Click Add Item.
    • Option 2 - Click the Gear icon of an existing KYC Item or KYC Item group, and then click Add Item.

Deleting a KYC Item or KYC Item group

  1. Log in to the KYC Rule Manager Studio.
  2. Select and open a rule from the KYC Types list.
  3. Click the Item definition tab.
    • Option 1 - Select the check box to mark the KYC Item for deletion, and then click Delete Item.
    • Option 2 - Click the Gear icon of an existing KYC Item or KYC Item group, and then click Delete.

For each option, the system prompts you to enter a required audit memo. Click Submit to delete the KYC Item from the type rule and record the action in the audit history.

Updating a KYC Item or KYC Item group

  1. Log in to the KYC Rule Manager Studio.
  2. Select and open a rule from the KYC Types list.
  3. Click the Item definition tab.
  4. Click the Gear icon for a KYC Item or KYC Item group.
  5. Click Update.
  6. In the Item Configuration window that displays, update the KYC Item or KYC Item group’s configuration settings.

Re-ordering a KYC Item or KYC Item group (cut and paste)

This action provides a quick and easy method to move the position of KYC Items and KYC Item groups.

  1. Log in to the KYC Rule Manager Studio.
  2. Select and open a rule from the KYC Types list.
  3. Click the Item definition tab.
  4. Click the Gear icon for a KYC Item or KYC Item group.
  5. Click Cut.
  6. Select another KYC Item or KYC Item group within the same KYC Type and click the Gear icon.
  7. Click Paste to insert the KYC Item below the select KYC Item or KYC Item Group.

Re-ordering a KYC Item or KYC Item group (drag and drop)

You can click and drag a single KYC Item, KYC Item group, or KYC Item within a KYC Item group to change its sequence.

The run-time sequence of KYC Items in the case UI matches the sequence of KYC Items configured at design-time.

You cannot move KYC Items out of a KYC Item group by dragging and dropping them. To move KYC Items out of a group, you must use the cut and paste feature.

Bulk-deleting KYC Items and entire KYC Item groups

You can select any number of stand-alone KYC Item or KYC Item groups for bulk deletion.

  1. Log in to the KYC Rule Manager Studio.
  2. Select and open a rule from the KYC Types list.
  3. Click the Item definition tab.
  4. Select the check box for each KYC Item or KYC Item group row that you want to delete.
  5. On the Item Definition screen, click Delete Item, enter the required audit note in the pop-up window, and then click OK.

Bulk-deleting KYC Items within a KYC Item group

  1. Log in to the KYC Rule Manager Studio.
  2. Select and open a rule from the KYC Types list.
  3. Click the Item definition tab.
  4. Expand the Item Group to display its KYC Items.
  5. Select the check box for each KYC Item or KYC Item group row that you want to delete.
  6. In the Item Group section, click Delete Item, enter the required audit note in the pop-up window, and then click OK.
