Updating from Pega Platform version 7.2.2 or earlier: enabling notifications by updating access role names
When updating from any release prior to Pega 7.2.2, you must update all the user access role names of an application with specific classes so that users can receive notifications.
To save time, clone any access role name that contains the preceding classes and assign it to application users instead of updating the access role names manually. For more information on how to clone an access role name, see Configuring an access role.
In the Records Explorer, click Security > Access Role Name.
Open the access role name for the following classes that require editing.
- Data-Notification-Parameters
- Pega-Notification
- Data-Notification-Recipient
- Data-Preference-Operator
Click the Plus icon to open the Add Access Role Object dialog box.
In the Class field, enter the class name that you want to add to the access role name.
Under Access Control, enter 5 in all the fields to provide access to this access role name.
Click Save.
Perform steps 3 through 6 for each of the remaining classes.
