Designing an application skin and styles

Updated on October 7, 2020

Your site very likely has user experience (UX) standards for the appearance of your applications. Your task is to determine which styles have to change to adhere to those standards.

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click ConfigureUser InterfaceSkins, interfaces, & templates.

  2. On the Skins tab, double-click the pyEndUser skin.

Note: Because the Pega Configure Price Quote for Communications application refers to more than one skin, during implementation, you must decide which skin to modify. In most cases, use the CPQ skin, which is circumstanced for mobile and desktop view, and is available in the PegaCM-CPQUI ruleset. If necessary, you can also use the styles from the CIF and PCF skins, or you can continue using the base skin pyEndUser.
  3. Click the Component styles tab.

  4. Review each component.

Note: As you plan your application styles, consider using mixins to provide incremental style changes. For more information, see Using mixins in the skin to drive consistency and efficiency.
