Pega Configure Price Quote for Communications Implementation Guide

Updated on October 7, 2020

Pega Configure Price Quote for Communications offers communication service providers an innovative, agile approach for managing the capture to contract process and for accelerating the development of Configure Price Quote solutions, resulting in improved operational efficiency, faster time to market, and a superior customer experience.

Pega Configure Price Quote for Communications uses Product Catalog for Communications, which helps telecommunications providers to define and manage a wide range of complex enterprise products.

Pega Configure Price Quote for Communications contains the following application layers:

  • Pega Foundation for Communications application layer - a baseline layer that contains the common shared information/data (SID)-based object model used to support the SID data element dictionary by providing an object-based class structure for common objects including: customer order, customer order item, service, and resource. For more information, see the TMForum website.
  • Product Catalog for Communications - used to define and manage the various business entities that are required for product offers and services sold in a marketplace. Telecommunications companies can also define and manage product configurations, compatibility rules, and pricing for both simple and bundled product offers.

Product Catalog for Communications is available as a component that is packaged with Pega Foundation for Communications. For more information, see the Pega Foundation for Communications product page.

Note: It is recommended that you review the Pega Foundation for Communications Implementation Guide in advance of using the Pega Configure Price Quote for Communications Implementation Guide. See the Pega Foundation for Communications product page.
