Updating implementation application references

Updated on December 20, 2021

This content applies only to On-premises and Client-managed cloud environments

Follow these steps to update either the Pega-provided implementation application Pega Customer Decision Hub, or your implementation application built on the Pega Customer Decision Hub foundation.

Pega Customer Decision Hub Update Guide
  1. If your rulesets are using Ruleset Validation, ensure that the highest version of rulesets listed in your implementation application has a dependency on the ruleset PegaMKT-Install:08-04-02. If your rulesets are using Application Validation, this step is not required.
  2. Review the application rulesets and verify that they reference the ruleset version that contains all of your existing artifacts and rules.
  3. Ensure the implementation application is built on the application PegaMarketing_FW:8.
  4. On the Cases & data tab, add a reference to the new subscription microsite if it does not already exist.

  5. Delete or withdraw any versions of the following data flows that are in your implementation ruleset:
    • DF_ProcessResponse
    • DF_VolumeConstraint
    • DF_Prospect_VolumeConstraint
    • DF_DirectDB
  6. Update the referenced application for the access group PegaNBAM:Agents.
    1. In Dev Studio, click ConfigureApplicationStructureAccess Groups and Users.
    2. Find and open the access group PegaNBAM:Agents.
    3. In the Application section of the Definition tab, verify that the application in the Name field is your implementation application.
    4. If needed, update the application version in the Version field.
    5. On the Advanced tab, in the Design time configuration section, verify that the default destination ruleset references the Artifact ruleset and version that contains your artifacts.
  7. Review the other access groups for your application. For each access group:
    1. In the Application section of the Definition tab, verify that the application in the Name field is your implementation application.
    2. If needed, update the application version in the Version field.
    3. On the Advanced tab, in the Design time configuration section, verify that the default destination ruleset references the Artifact ruleset and version that contains your artifacts.
The standard access groups for Pega Customer Decision Hub are:
      • your application:SOAPUsers
      • your application:FieldMarketers
      • your application:FieldMarketingManagers
      • your application:CDHAdmins
      • your application:CDHAnalysts
      • your application:CDHManagers
