Enabling Dynamic Class Referencing

Updated on January 22, 2021

Avoid hard-coding classes in your rules by using Dynamic Class Referencing (DCR). As a result, you can effectively extend your application and reduce maintenance issues that are caused by out-of-date hard-coded references.

  1. In Dev Studio, search for and open the D_PMCExtension data page.
  2. Open the pyDefault data transform listed in the source.
  3. Save the pyDefault data transform into your implementation ruleset.
  4. On the Definition tab, set the parameters of data transform properties to your implementation values.
Important: Do not hardcode URLs in the pyDefault data transform, use Dynamic System Settings provided, instead. For example, ConnectProductCatalogURL or ConnectMKTURL.
  5. Click Save and Check in.
