Configuring the prospect class

Updated on October 19, 2020

To successfully load prospect data, configure a prospect class.

The base prospect class is PegaMarketingFS-Data-Customer-Prospect. If the base prospect class is not sufficient for your business needs, then you must extend the class by creating and configuring a custom prospect class. For example, if the default configuration does not capture all the potential customer data that you require, you can adjust the data table that contains prospect information.

Perform the following tasks to configure a custom prospect class:

  • Creating a prospect class

An extended prospect class is created for you when you run the application wizard. However, you can also create a custom prospect class that inherits from the PegaMarketingFS-Data-Prospect base class.

  • Configuring the prospect template

Pega Customer Decision Hub for Financial Services contains a spreadsheet that business users can use to import data from an external database. The ProspectTemplate binary file contains such columns as name and age. You must configure the Pega-provided template to meet your business needs. Make the customized binary file available to the business users to allow them to import prospect data.
